From the Personal Collection of Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this vintage 1988 Splinter also features a signature and remarque  by Kevin Eastman and a Hologram Label of Provenance.

Box Description

 Splinter, the rat mutation of ninja master, Hamato Yoshi, is the Turtles’ “shidoshi” (teacher of the warrior ways of enlightenment). As a man – and still as a sewer rat – Splinter has a special fondness for the arts, especially martial arts. He also digs the underground, since his rat-like abilities make him quite a burrower.

This is one VERY RARE Find! Coming directly from Kevin and Peter, this Playmates toy is ideal for taking center place in your vintage TMNT Toy Collection.  The packaging remains intact.

This 1988 Splinter was sent directly to Mirage Studios (Publishers of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) by Playmates Toys and has been housed in the Personal Collections of Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, the co-creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles since then.

1988 Splinter has minor dings and dents BUT remains Factory Sealed and UNPUNCHED. And given the provenance; straight from Playmates Toys to Mirage Studios and the collection of Peter and Kevin this super fun Playmates 1988 Splinter with impeccable provenance, is a great addition to any Vintage TMNT  Toy Collection.
