From the Personal Collection of Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this vintage 1989 Usagi Yojimbo also features a signature and remarque  by Kevin Eastman and a Hologram Label of Provenance.

Box Description

 Hundreds of years before sewers were even invented, Usagi Yojimbo (Rabbit Bodyguard), a skilled but masterless Samurai, wandered ancient legendary Japan. In a freakish burst of reception through Donatello’s trans-dimensional portal, this medieval hare wound up thrashing his way through the Turtle’s lair, kicking shell and more or less proving a few points with his Katana. Splinter recognized the ronin’s skills at once as Usagi repeatedly put the Turtles on the cutting edge. Trapped in Turtle-time, Usagi Yojimbo quickly became a trusted and honorable ally in the ongoing pursuit of pizza and a Shredder-less world.

This is one VERY RARE Find! Coming directly from Kevin and Peter, this Playmates toy is ideal for taking center place in your vintage TMNT Toy Collection.  The packaging remains intact.

This 1989 Usagi Yojimbo was sent directly to Mirage Studios (Publishers of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) by Playmates Toys and has been housed in the Personal Collections of Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, the co-creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles since then.

1989 Usagi Yojimbo has minor dings and dents BUT remains Factory Sealed and UNPUNCHED. And given the provenance; straight from Playmates Toys to Mirage Studios and the collection of Peter and Kevin this super fun Playmates 1989 Usagi Yojimbo with impeccable provenance, is a great addition to any Vintage TMNT  Toy Collection.
