‘Ninja Turtles’ sells out

Mirage Studios in Dover has announced that the first edition of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s comic book, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” has sold out. The 3,000 copies of the first print run were sold in less than a month and a half. With back orders for almost 4,000 more copies, a second printing of 6,000 copies is in the works with the books expected back from the printer by mid July.

The second issue of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is also in the works, with a projected publication date of Nov. 1, 1984. The five-month delay between issue #1 and issue #2 is due to the fact that Mirage Studios is on hiatus for the summer and will be moving from New Hampshire to Connecticut in September.
